Welcome to Running With Quills, your online newsletter designed to keep you up to date with what your favorite authors (that would be us) are doing throughout the year. Here you will find the release dates of our new books and get information about our backlists. We'll preview our cover art here long before the books hit the stores and we'll keep you informed about works-in-progress and special projects. You'll also receive advance notice of signings and appearances. From time to time we'll give you a peek at our worlds, tell you what we're reading, and introduce you to some new authors.

Another side of Jayne

Those of you looking for an interview that illuminates the dark side of Jayne might want to check out her two-part blog conversation with a chicken named Ms. Kitty over at www.squawkradio.com

But beware. This is not for the faint of heart...

I'm waiting for the roundtable discussion with JAK, AQ, Jayne Castle, Elizabeth Lowell, Ann Maxwell, A.E. Maxwell, and Lowell Charters.

Moderated, of course, by Sybil....

I was just wondering, will this new series wander into your Jayne Castle futuristics also? That would be pretty neat!

I'm about 2/3rd's done with Second Sight. I'm enjoying every minute of it, but then I always do enjoy Jayne's books. Looking forward to reading Ghost Hunter!

Wow, two releases in the same month!

Anonymous: I'm not sure yet. It will definitely go into my JAK books with WHITE LIES next January. And, I suspect,it will transfer to my Jayne Castle stories.

If I was still talking to you, Jayne, I'd tell you I think Evie's idea is great and I hope you take note.

Anonymous, my little issue with Stella can be explained if you read the comments over at www.squawkradio.com. It seems there's a rumor going around that Stella is from Omaha. Something to do with her accent....

Oy vey... now THAT was funny. I'm wondering if Kitty ever did find Jayne's house... and did you take pictures of her Omaha Prime tattoo? Stella... I just never knew... doesn't it make you wanna run right out and copy Kitty's idea? Maybe buy a brand for barbequing? rofl

Jayne, we've had the vampires/werewolves-as-the-last-of-the-alphas discussion before over at the Lunatic Cafe, and I know you participated at least once. So I've been wondering: Have you considered extending your interest in the paranormal to making one of your protagonists an actual witch/wizard/time traveler/vampire/werewolf?

I'd vote for a werewolf, myself. Vampires are so...sucky.
