Welcome to Running With Quills, your online newsletter designed to keep you up to date with what your favorite authors (that would be us) are doing throughout the year. Here you will find the release dates of our new books and get information about our backlists. We'll preview our cover art here long before the books hit the stores and we'll keep you informed about works-in-progress and special projects. You'll also receive advance notice of signings and appearances. From time to time we'll give you a peek at our worlds, tell you what we're reading, and introduce you to some new authors.

Elizabeth G. wants to share . . .

For a number of reasons I haven't been able to blog regularly here at RWQ for the past several months. (More about that next time around.) But today I'd like to share with you the fabulous print ad that web goddess Cissy and talented graphic designer Paula recently created for me.

This full-color ad, in an 8 X 8 inch format, will grace the back cover of Romance Writers Report (the official publication of Romance Writers of America) for the April 2008 issue. Since most of you aren't members of RWA, I wanted you to see what a great job they did - just click on the below image.

A very special thank you to Cissy and Paula!

Thank you to George and the art department at Berkley for the to-die-for covers (pardon the pun) for the first two books of my new vampire romance series.

And loving thanks to EL, Jayne and Stella for giving me fantastic quotes. (EL's is on the front cover of NIGHT HUNGER.)

So, Quillers, what do you think?

Here's to spring!

The ad and new cover look great and so do you. I'm waiting with bated breath, so to speak, until "Night Hunger" comes out.

I haven't been around all that much myself, so I'm surprised that I'm first at this one.

Way to go, EG and Cissy and Paula.

Hey there,

I agree that the artwork is awesome! I can't wait either. My TBR pile keeps growing and growing as I discover new writers and try to read novels written back in the 80's, before I was into romance novels. Such a shame I didn't discover them sooner, I've missed so much by many great writers!

Hope everyone has a great week/holiday!

Wow, EG!

Very snazzy! Cissy and Paula did well... but it'd be awful difficult not to, given what they were working with...for...toward... LOL.

Congratulations, I'm sure you're very proud! Well deserved. I'm looking forward to NIGHT HUNGER.

Thanks everyone for the kind comments! Cissy and Paula had great covers to work with. They used just the right text and created a brilliant Egyptian-themed background. I agree: it turned out terrific.

As for myself. lololol Well, it took a village. Michael Angelo to do my hair. Michael's Photography to make me look better than I deserve. Stella supplied the glitzy earrings. Jayne gave me the sparkly black scarf. SC, JAK and EL gave advice re: makeup, the red scarf to match their Quill photos, you name it. I may use this PR shot forever! :-)

Have a great Wednesday all!

Jayne: Do I detect a little "cover envy?" lololololololol

Michele L: The art dept. at Berkley gets all the credit, along with the great suggestions from my editor, of course. (And a small amount of input from yours truly.)
