    ELIZABETH WONDERS WHAT HAPPENED TO...

*darts in, trips over suitcase, rights self, kicks suitcase across room*

Yes, I've been places, done things, and even
    read a lot.

    :-)

    So now I'm curious.

I've just started CARVED IN STONE by Vickie Taylor. I'm really enjoying the world, the depth of detail, the emotion, the whole tortilla. I have FLESH AND STONE waiting to be read next.

But then I read the copyright date, and realized that there hasn't been a third book in the series in 2007 or 2008.

    BIG BUM-MER!!!

Does anyone out there know what happened to the series?

No. I don´t know this author. However, I´m looking very much towards reading your new book. In fact I can hardly wait. And, boy, does that young scamp have a talent for getting into trouble. Wonder who he gets it from. Grin.

Enjoy the spring, the summer the time off and, of course, the reading.

Oh, and by the way, do you know if there are any books coming soon from a talented young author named Heather Lowell? I´ve really enjoyed reading her as well.

    Sirrý.

    Heya EL,

Welcome HOME! Vickie Taylor's blog hasn't been updated in about a year or so and I've not seen any new release information for the series, either.

    *shrugs*
    Happy Friday-Eve-Day,

    Welcome home, Elizabeth!
Now that I've finished the Kresley Cole book, which was oh-my-so-delicious-page-turning-wonderful, I'll be starting Blue Smoke and Murder. Or I might save it from my trip to RT. A fab book makes those plane rides soooo much easier.

Your query about the series reminds me of when I first read Johanna Lindsey. I started with Anthony's story, which I'd gotten a LONG time after it's original print date. I ran to the store to get James' book... only to find out she hadn't written it!
    I swear, I think I cried.
You can bet, the day that puppy became available, I was there snatching it up.
    And it was worth it.

I just adore series. Love em!

    Have a super-smiley day all!

    Lori

jackietoo--went to the website, but as it wasn't searchable for a title, I sighed and went elsewhere.

But thanks anyway! There are more websites out there than I'll ever have time to visit.

I loved those books...and until you said that, didn't realize that it'd been sometime since I'd read the second one. Huh.
Maybe one of the blogs will be able to dig up some info on her....

Found Legacy of Stone by Vickie Taylor listed at Bordersstores.com. It's all on order here in Hawaii, but maybe at a store near you it might be available. Hope that helps.

I couldn't resist doing some internet sleuthing. Apparently, the third book isn't out yet due to some real life issues which I found out on this forum.

Thanks, lurker. I thought that might be the case. I know how real life can -- and does -- get.

I can offer you a cracking good series to fill the time till it arrives: the Chronicles of the Warlands by Elizabeth Vaughan: WARPRIZE, WARSWORN, and WARLORD. The first was one of the best first novels I've ever read. The heroine is terrific: strong, smart, brave, and funny. The hero is worthy of her. It's sort-of-fantasy: not set in our world, but so far no real magic. The problems are real and huge: her duty to the Warlord to whom she's been given as consort-in-waiting vs. her duties as a sworn Master Healer; dealing with an outbreak of plague in a society that has never known real disease; and proving herself to the Elders of the tribes of her new people. Oh, and thwarting the various attempts to murder her....

(I tried to post this last night, but my cable connection went down. I've now finished the third book, and there is a supernatural element at the end.)
