Jayne: Calling Friends of Dust Bunnies

Woo-hoo! It's that time of year again -- Dust Bunny Video Time! I know what you're thinking, who cares about the next book in my Jayne Castle Harmony series --which just happens to be OBSIDIAN PREY, Aug. 25, by the way -- show us the new dust bunny! Fine. Check him out in the new video below. His name is Vincent.

As always, the bunny star is real, another one of Betty Chu's gorgeous, champion English Angora rabbits. You can see more images on her home page

Thanks, again, to that dynamic duo, Cissy Hartley (Writerspace) and romantic-suspense author Paula Graves for another spectacular video.

Now: Calling Friends of Fallon Jones (assuming he actually has any): There's a rumor that Fallon is now on Twitter. Turns out he's the only investigator in Scargill Cove so, even though he's got his hands full dealing with the big Nightshade conspiracy, he still gets some local walk-in cases. Evidently he is going to micro-blog those small-town investigations on Twitter. You can check it out on

    Best of summer to you!

    Sincerely, Jayne

    Hi Jayne,

Oooh, Vincent looks to be quite a handful but a wonderful Dust Bunny like all the past Dust Bunnies. August 25 huh? Well, that's only 51 days from now. Can't Wait!

I just started re-reading Cooper and Elly's story this morning! Can't wait to get the newest installment of the Harmony series.

Hmmm, interesting that Cruz is a Sweetwater ....

    Hey there Jayne
    Cool, love the dust bunnies.
Fallon Jones is twittering--That's going to be some interesting "tweets"
Can't wait! I imagine his story is going to quite the "humdinger" (as Mom used to say) ;>

I have yet to be formally introduced to the dust bunnies, but I am planning to get to know them better when Obsidian Prey comes out next month. The video made me laugh, can't wait!

Kathy H. Thanks and glad someone else is counting down the days, not just me!

SUSAN: Sounds like the publisher picked a good day for the release.

DFender: Yep, Fallon Jones is blogging about the small-town walk-in cases that he gets there in Scargill Cove. He is the only PI in town, after all.

LORI: Thanks! Those bunnies are the ones selling the books, I'm afraid, not my brilliant characterization and plotting! Oh, well, whatever works.

LYNN: The Sweetwater name is no coincidence. Cruz is a descendant of Harry Sweetwater, the professional assassin in RUNNING HOT. Seems like the family may still be in the old business on Harmony...

CATHERINE: Hope you get a kick out of Fallon Jones on Twitter. In a way, that short, 140 word format is perfect for him. He doesn't have much patience, anyway.

LYNNE THOMAS: Glad to hear summer is going well for you. Hope you enjoy the rest with Fallon and the bunnies.

SUNNY: Like I said, the bunnies sell the books. And the cool thing is that they're real!

Jayne, as always, I love the video, but sorry, m'dear. I'm a lot more interested in the next book. The dust bunnies are adorable, but your stories are the draw.

Aw, Jayne, Vincent is a doll. However, I too want to read the book even more than I want Vincent in my office:)

YAY! Obsidian Prey comes out just in time for my Birthday! Please tell me the heroine brings Cruz to apologize at some point?

KATE: Okay, thanks, I appreciate that. But, hey, I love your new demon series, too, so I get it. Nevertheless, as you prove, animals do matter!

STELLA: Well, that makes us even because I can't wait for COURT OF ANGELS!!!!

    Blogger Jayne Ann Krentz said...

BRANDY: But, of course! Hope you enjoy the story.

    Dear Jayne,

every Harmony story tops the ones that went before; Vincent and Lyra sound like they'll be a lot of fun!

Love the guy they gave you for Cruz, too - he looks BAD! So many of the cover models look like they haven't even started shaving yet. sigh. Is it just me, or do you also find it difficult to get all worked up about a guy who looks younger than one's ... ahem. nephew. Yes, that's what I wanted to say - nephew! LOL

Fabulous trailer - as always. I'm really looking forward to Vincent's... I mean Cruz and Lyra's story. BTW - is it pronounced "Lear-a" or "Lie-ra"??

Fallon Jones on Twitter **SNORT**. I guess an insomniac has to have something to do when he can't sleep.

    Blogger Jayne Ann Krentz said...

LynneW: Thanks! I'm so glad you're enjoying the series.

Lou: When I wrote the name I prounced it in my head as Lear -a as in lyrical. (She's a tuner, right? Amber tuner. So the musical reference seemed to work) But you get to pronounce it any way you like!

    Hi Jayne,

Love your new book video. Vincent is adorable, but I have to agree with Kate and Stella: the stories and their characters are the draw for me.

Can't wait to read about Fallon's local cases *laughs* - you are ever creative and inspiring. Good luck with your upcoming and future stories.

Love the Harmony stories, and I love the dust bunnies. This one sounds a bit messy though...

So when are you going to put Fallon out of his misery, and write his story so he can have his HEA?
